TOP 100 Innovator
TOP 100 Innovator
The sera Group was recognised as a TOP 100 Innovator in 2021, 2024, 2025 and 2026. This means that sera has repeatedly been ranked among Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies.
Our consistent focus on our customers’ needs, as well as our collaboration with research and development partners, was particularly well received. Together, we develop solutions for a wide range of applications – from water treatment and the food industry to hydrogen technology.
This award confirms our commitment to developing practical innovations and, together with our customers, turning them into successful applications.
Grand Prix of the Mittelstand
Following its place in the final in 2018, sera was awarded the Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises for the first time in 2020. This was followed in 2022 by the Plaque of Honour from the Oskar Patzelt Foundation – a special accolade for companies that have distinguished themselves over many years through their development and commitment.
The competition, which has been running since 1994, is one of Germany’s most prestigious business awards. Companies are assessed holistically – including in the areas of corporate development, innovative capacity, corporate responsibility, service, customer focus and regional engagement.
These multiple nominations and awards confirm the path that sera has consistently followed for many years: technical expertise, responsible entrepreneurship and long-term corporate development.

National Winner School Economy
In 2025, sera GmbH was named the national winner of the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Deutschland competition.
The award was given for our project ‘Experience an apprenticeship – Future prospects at sera’, which offers young people a practical insight into the world of work.
The award recognises the close collaboration between schools and industry, as well as our commitment to providing career guidance for young people.
Best of Industry Award
With its iSTEP stepper motor pump, sera took third place at the 2017 Best of Industry Award in the drive technology category.
The award recognised the iSTEP’s innovative drive concept, as well as its high precision and user-friendliness.
Just one year earlier, the iSTEP had been among the finalists for the industry award.
Industry prize
Back in 2016, the iSTEP stepper motor pump was named a finalist for the Industry Award.
The jury praised the pump’s drive concept, its precise dosing and its ease of use.
With the iSTEP, sera set new standards for modern dosing technology and laid the foundations for a successful product range.
