Data processing on our website
We process your data on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other laws relevant to us under data protection law.
General collection of data
When you access our website or retrieve a file, data about this process is stored in a log file on our web server. In particular, the following data may be stored
- IP address (if possible, this is stored anonymised)
- Domain name of the website from which you came
- Names of the files retrieved
- Date and time of a retrieval
- Name of your internet service provider
- and, if applicable, the operating system and browser version of your end device
We collect this data on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to ensure the proper functioning of our websites. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.
The data will be deleted after 365 days at the latest. We reserve the right to statistically analyse anonymised data records.
Cookies
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions that you have requested are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection information.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions.
The data entered in the contact form is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest(Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures(Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). It is not possible to process your enquiry without providing data.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
Use of advertising and analysis services
We use the following services of Google Ireland Limited, based in Ireland, on our website to analyse and improve our website
- Google Analytics
- Google DoubleClick
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Photos
Some of the tools can recognise website visitors and also assign user behaviour and link it to other information.
When these tools are used, cookies can be used and data connections to Google servers in the USA can be established. According to European legislation, there is no adequate level of data protection there. There is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities without any legal recourse.
These tools are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both the advertising offer and the advertising. If consent has been requested, the integration takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. This consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time.
Options for objecting to data collection
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.
You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's privacy policy:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
If you have a Google account, you can object to personalised advertising by clicking on the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
Further information on how to object to the adverts displayed by Google can be found at the following links
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and
https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.
IP anonymisation
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
Browser plugin
You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics
This website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection".
Storage period
Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. UserID) or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after 14 months. For details, please see the following link:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the standardised display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address.
The legal basis for embedding the fonts is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Maps
To make it easier for you to find us, we have integrated map material from the Google Maps service of Google Ireland Limited into our website via an API. In order to display the content in your browser, Google must receive your IP address, otherwise Google would not be able to provide you with this integrated content.
By using this tool, cookies can be used and data connections to Google servers in the USA can be established. According to European legislation, there is no adequate level of data protection there. There is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities without the possibility of legal recourse.
The legal basis for embedding the maps is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR.
Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
YouTube
To embed videos, we use YouTube, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. The legal basis for embedding the videos is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR. Accordingly, a connection to YouTube is only established after clicking on "View video". The next time you visit the website, you will be asked for your consent again.
By using this tool, cookies can be used and data connections to Google servers in the USA can be established. According to European legislation, there is no adequate level of data protection there. There is a risk that your data may be processed by US authorities without any legal recourse.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, YouTube can store various cookies on your end device after starting a video or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent attempts at fraud.
If necessary, further data processing operations may be triggered after the start of a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.
You can find more information about data protection at YouTube in their privacy policy at: https: //policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Bootstrap CDN
Our website uses Java script code from the company LLC. NetDNA, 3575, Cahuenga Blvd Suite 630, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA (hereinafter: Bootstrap CDN). If you have activated JavaScript in your browser and have not installed a JavaScript blocker, your browser may transmit personal data, e.g. your IP address, to Bootstrap CDN. We do not know what data Bootstrap CDN links to the data received and for what purposes Bootstrap CDN uses this data. Further information on this can be found in Bootstrap CDN's privacy policy(https://www.maxcdn.com/legal/). To prevent the execution of Java Script code from Bootstrap CDN altogether, you can install a Java Script blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net or www.ghoster y.com).
The use of this service is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Direct advertising and objection
For advertising purposes, we inform customers (on the basis of our legitimate interest in direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) via various communication channels (e.g. e-mail, letter) about innovations and offers.
You have the right to object to data processing for direct marketing purposes at any time.
The data required for direct marketing will be stored until you object to direct marketing.
Recipients of personal data
We only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary to fulfil the purpose. Furthermore, data may be passed on to authorities on the basis of legal regulations in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c and e GDPR.
In addition, in various cases we use processors in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, who may receive data from us or have access to your data in connection with their services.
Data protection for our Facebook page
We use the technical platform and services of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
We are jointly responsible with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. for the processing of Insights data on the basis of the following agreement:
https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum
We hereby inform you that when you visit Facebook pages, your IP address and other information will be stored. This information is used to provide the operator of the Facebook pages with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page.
Further information on this can be found on the Facebook pages:
http://de-de.facebook.com/help/pages/insights.
Data that customers, interested parties and users transmit to us there may also be processed by us in accordance with our data protection information. The processing is based on our legitimate interest(Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in providing targeted information about us and our products.
The data collected in this context is processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Please note that you use this Facebook page and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (commenting, liking, sharing, etc.). For this purpose, you have registered with Facebook and accepted its terms of use.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. is responsible for information on this data processing in accordance with our agreement. Facebook is also responsible for processing requests regarding data subject rights such as the right of access, the right to rectification or erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to object to and withdraw consent to processing and the right to data portability.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. describes what information Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. processes in its data policy:
http://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy
Setting options for data protection and privacy of your Facebook account can be found here:
https://www.facebook.com/policy
Whether and how Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. uses the data from the use of Facebook pages for its own purposes and to what extent it is assigned to individual user profiles is not currently communicated by Facebook. It is also not known whether the data is passed on to third parties and if and when it is deleted.
When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your end device or internet connection is transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymised (for "German" IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. also stores information about users' end devices (e.g. as part of the "login notification" function); this may enable Facebook to assign IP addresses to individual users.
If you are currently logged in to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID is stored on your device. In connection with cookies, we refer in particular to the information on cookies in our general data protection information and in Facebook's cookie policy(https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies). This enables Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. to understand that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Facebook buttons integrated into websites enable Facebook to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your Facebook profile. This data can be used to offer you customised content or advertising.
If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies on your device and close and restart your browser. In this way, Facebook information that can be used to directly identify you will be deleted.
This allows you to use this Facebook page without revealing your Facebook ID. If you access interactive functions on the page (like, comment, share, message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. Once you have logged in, you will once again be recognisable to Facebook as a specific user.
