UN Global Compact
sera has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2022 and is thus committed to clear principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the prevention of corruption.
Our actions are specifically geared towards five Sustainable Development Goals: Health and well-being (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), sustainable consumption and production (SDG 12) and climate action (SDG 13).

Our injection moulding machine enables us to expand our production capabilities in a targeted manner. This enables us to manufacture important components independently and thus respond more quickly and flexibly to requirements - for greater flexibility, efficiency and quality from our own hands. - MAKING SUSTAINABILITY EXPERIENCEABLE
Sustainability is also part of our training programme. At the annual Trainee Environment Day, our trainees and students realise their own environmental projects directly on the factory premises in Immenhausen. - OWN RECYCLABLE MATERIALS CONCEPT
The continuous improvement of our company-wide recycling concept is an integral part of our sustainability strategy. For example, we have established a system for reusing aerosol cans: A "Refillomat" enables empty cans to be refilled with completely aromatic-free contents. In this way, we not only reduce the amount of waste generated by disposable packaging, but also deliberately avoid the use of harmful propellants, such as those used in conventional aerosol cans.

We place climate protection at the centre of our corporate responsibility and are committed to actively counteracting climate change.
For many years, we have been contributing to a sustainable future with a wide range of measures. By 2030, we want to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions and make our processes more climate-friendly step by step.

ISO 14001
sera is certified in accordance with the environmental standard DIN EN ISO 14001:2015. A central component of this environmental management system is the comprehensive consideration of the entire life cycle of our products. We are committed to taking back all products and devices at the end of their useful life and subjecting them to careful inspection.
Depending on their condition, they are either reused or recycled. This process enables us to recover valuable materials and makes a significant contribution to conserving resources.

Occupational safety
Sustainable consumption and production becomes occupational safety
Safety is a top priority for us and an integral part of our day-to-day work. We work every day to recognise risks at an early stage, implement preventative measures and ensure a safe, healthy working environment for all employees.
A visible sign of our commitment is the BG seal of approval "Safe with a system", Certifications | sera GmbH which we have held since 2012 and received again in March 2025 from the Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal (BGHM). This seal of approval confirms that our occupational health and safety management system meets the requirements of the national guidelines and that safety at sera is systematic, reliable and an integral part of our corporate culture.
Regular inspections, analyses and training courses ensure that potential risks are identified at an early stage and improvements are implemented in a targeted manner. In this way, we at sera create a working environment in which responsibility, awareness and safety naturally go hand in hand.
Ecovadis
In order to not only formulate sustainability, but to implement it in a measurable and comparable way, we rely on external assessment. Our sustainability management has been assessed by EcoVadis since March 2026. In this way, we create transparency and make responsible behaviour comprehensible for customers, partners and suppliers.
