Modular plug-and-play dosing stations for CIP processes

The challenge

KARL SCHNELL needed compact dosing stations for caustic, acid and optional disinfection for CIP processes. The systems needed to have a modular design so that machine projects could be realised with or without a disinfection stage, depending on requirements. At the same time, the stations had to be space-saving, easy to integrate and standardisable for use as OEM modules. The aim was to reduce the number of variants and simplify assembly and commissioning. A flexible but standardised dosing concept was therefore sought.

The sera solution

sera developed a modular dosing concept based on separate, very similar IBC emptying stations with an integrated dosing system. The final version consists of three self-sufficient modules that can be flexibly combined depending on the project. The systems are designed as a plug-and-play solution: Only the pressure line and power are connected on site. Thanks to the compact, standardised design, the stations can be easily integrated into different machine concepts. The concept enables KARL SCHNELL to cover CIP applications with and without disinfection from the same modular system.
