sera pressure-keeping valves ensure the precision of the dosing pump by preventing cavitation. 

The pressure-keeping valve prevents the dosing pump from being overloaded under unfavourable geodetic conditions. The set pressure of the valve creates the necessary positive pressure differential between the pressure and suction sides of the pump. 

Pressure valves do not function as shut-off valves.
