TOP 100 Innovator
We are proud to have been recognised as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany in 2021, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The TOP 100 seal, which we have now received for the third time, confirms our continuous innovative strength and our commitment to sustainable solutions.
sera was particularly convincing in the selection process in the "External Orientation / Open Innovation" category. Our innovation strategy is consistently focussed on the needs of our customers. At the same time, collaborations with start-ups and innovative partners promote new ideas and technologies - for example in the development of a hydrogen-based energy storage system for private homes as a contribution to the energy transition.
With our expertise in dosing technology, hydrogen and compressor technology, we develop solutions for a wide range of applications - from seawater desalination plants to breweries and hydrogen systems.
For us, innovation is not an end in itself, but part of our aspiration to take responsibility for people and the environment.
The renewed award of the TOP 100 seal is recognition of the commitment of all serans - and an incentive to continue working boldly and innovatively on the solutions of tomorrow.
Grand Prix of the Mittelstand
After sera was one of the five finalists in Hesse in 2018, we were honoured with the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes for the first time in 2020. In 2022, sera was one of four companies to also receive the badge of honour for particularly impressive award winners at regional level.
The competition has been organised by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation since 1994 and is one of the most popular business awards in Germany. The aim is to strengthen networks in the SME sector and make entrepreneurial achievements visible. In 2022, 4,546 small and medium-sized companies were nominated across Germany.
sera was nominated for the fifth time in a row, including by the Association of Metal and Electrical Companies in Hesse. An independent jury of experts assesses the companies holistically, including company development, innovation, creation of jobs and apprenticeships, regional commitment as well as service and customer proximity.
The award confirms that sera is one of the most successful medium-sized companies in Germany and recognises our consistent development and our clear strategy for the future.
Training Award 2024
We are proud to have been awarded second place in this year's HNA Training Prize.
This is the seventh time that the HNA Hessische/Niedersächsische Allgemeine, together with the Kassel-Marburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Kassel Chamber of Crafts, the Association of Hessian Business Associations (VhU) and the Kassel Employment Agency, has organised the training prize. A total of 39 companies took part this year and submitted their ideas and projects on the subject of training.
Our holistic concept and comprehensive communication with applicants, future and current trainees were particularly praised in the laudation.
National Winner School Economy
In 2025, sera GmbH was honoured as the national winner of School Business in Berlin. And that means more to us than just a title.

sera GmbH impressed the jury with its exceptional concepts and measures that provide young people with practical insights into the world of work. sera won the national award in the "Companies - Medium 101 - 1,000 employees" category with its "Experience training - Future prospects at sera" project: it offers young people a structured, personalised and practical introduction to the world of work and shows how successful cooperation between schools and business can be. Because tomorrow's skilled workers don't just happen by chance!
Best of Industry Award
Stepper motor pump iSTEP takes 3rd place in the Best of Industry Award 2017
The second Best of Industry Award was presented on 17 February at a gala held by the trade magazine MM Maschinenmarkt. Only solutions that had already achieved particular market resonance or won an industry award were nominated for the industry prize.
The sera Group achieved 3rd place in the drive technology category with the iSTEP stepper motor pump and missed out on the overall victory by just 0.89%.
The iSTEP combines an intelligent drive concept with the precision of a diaphragm dosing pump and sets standards in terms of accuracy, versatility, ergonomics and reliability. Thanks to intuitive, multilingual menu navigation and a power supply of 110-240 V at 50/60 Hz, it can be used worldwide.
The iSTEP was already one of the finalists for the industry award in 2016, continuing the success story of the sera Group 's new product series.

The industry prize, which has been awarded by Huber Verlag für Neue Medien GmbH since 2006, honours advanced products and solutions that impress with their economic, social, ecological and technological benefits.
In 2016, sera GmbH was one of the finalists in the drive and fluid technology category with its iSTEP stepper motor diaphragm pump. The pump combines an intelligent drive concept with the precision of a diaphragm dosing pump and sets standards in terms of accuracy, versatility, ergonomics and reliability. Thanks to multilingual, intuitive menu navigation and a power supply of 110-240 V at 50/60 Hz, it can be used worldwide.
