sera supports orphanage Omaruru Children's Haven in Namibia

Since 2013 the sera Group has been supporting the orphanage Omaruru Children´s Haven in Namibia. In 2016 the sera employees donated a high amount at the annual Christmas raffle that was increased up to 2,000 € by Managing director Carsten Rahier.

During this years‘ annual general meeting of the association supporting Omaruru Children’s Haven, David Landmesser handed over the symbolic cheque to Marion Wildenhayn, 1. chairwoman and Dr. Frank Jäger, 2. Chairman on behalf of the sera Group.

The money will help to initiate a big infrastructural project in Omaruru. There was an extreme drought in the past five years in Namibia, a water tank shall help making the orphanage a bit more autarkic from those influences of nature.

„With our commitment we support the orphanage’s expansion as well as many purchases for the children“, David Landmesser, who has a godchild in Omaruru himself, says. „sera Group is happy to being able to hand over the donation amount of 2,000 € to the association this year.“

Managing Director Carsten Rahier visited Omaruru past autumn to set up a climbing frame together with the orphans. „Building something together with the children on-site was a great and heartwarming experience. Having seen thos happy kids playing on the climbing frame made me proud and happy. I am very grateful that we have the possibility to support the association and the kids who live in Omaruru.“
